Is the website really free?
Yes. Hours, menu or services, photos, and a shareable link are free. Restaurants can take online orders on that site. Trades can take quote requests and deposits. Scheduling and the time clock are free too. The whole team is included — we do not charge per person. When Apex collects the money, a 1.5% collection fee applies.
What is Ask Apex?
A tab in the app. Type like you'd text a manager. It opens the right screen or proposes the next step — publish the site, who's on Friday, pause orders, book a job in, split tips. You confirm before it does anything. It cannot move money: refunds, deposits and payouts are not in what it is allowed to do, by design. For those it takes you to the screen and you decide.
Do I have to replace Square or my register?
No. Cards at the counter stay on the terminal you already have. Apex is the public website, the crew schedule, and online orders or quotes — not a replacement for the printer by the register.
What is the 1.5%?
Only on money Apex collects for you — online orders, deposits, balances. Cash and your own terminal never touch us, and we never take a cut of them. Card-network fees still apply on top, the same as any online checkout.
How fast am I live?
Tell Apex about the business and publish. You get a public address at yourname.madewithapex.com. The unguessable share link still works if you already sent it.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, as a setup we do for you — $299 to build it, then $79/mo hosted and maintained. Your domain sits in front of the same Apex page, so ordering and quote requests keep working exactly as they do now, and you keep the domain. There is no self-serve way to point a domain yet. You do not need it to take orders or quotes — the free Apex address does that on day one.
What is a founding member?
The first 50 businesses that pay for Apex OS lock $25/mo for the life of that business. After that, new signups pay $99/mo. Canceling does not free a seat for someone else.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Free stays free. Apex OS is month to month. Founding members keep $25/mo for the life of that business. Stop paying and you keep the free website and schedule.
